Work across projects from workspace pages (Saturation 3.0)

Use workspace-level pages to review records from more than one project without opening each project separately.

The workspace navigation can include Transactions, Contacts, Documents, Purchase Orders, and Reports. The pages you see depend on your permissions, workspace features, and project access.

Choose a workspace or project page

Open a workspace-level page when you need to search, filter, or compare records across projects. Open the same page inside a project when your work applies to one project only.

For example:

  • Use workspace Transactions to find charges from several projects. Use project Transactions when categorizing one production.

  • Use workspace Contacts to find people and companies throughout the workspace. Use project Contacts to review contacts associated with that project.

  • Use workspace Documents to search all accessible files or browse Smart Folders. Use project Documents for files assigned to one project.

  • Use workspace Purchase Orders to review POs across projects. Use project Purchase Orders when working with one production's commitments.

  • Use workspace Reports to find or create reports across accessible projects. When creating a report, the project picker includes only projects where you can create one. Use project Reports to work within one project.

Find records from several projects

  1. Select the page from the workspace navigation.

  2. Use the search, filter, sort, folder, or view controls available on that page.

  3. In a table, use the Project or Projects column or filter to identify where a record belongs.

  4. Select a row to open its details.

Changing a filter does not change a record's project assignment. Editing a Project or Projects field can move a record or change its project associations when you have permission, so review the destination before saving.

Open a record's project

Project names and linked records can open the related project or detail panel. Use these links when you need the surrounding budget or other project records.

Workspace and project pages keep separate table layouts and views where those controls are available. Confirm the active view and filters before a bulk action.

Access and current limits

Workspace pages show only records your account can read. Project-specific access still applies inside a cross-project page, and edit actions are checked for each record. Two teammates can see different rows or actions on the same workspace page.

Documents and Purchase Orders appear only when their workspace features are enabled. Workspace Reports has a separate workspace-level Reports feature; project Reports can be available without it. If a page is missing, ask a workspace owner or admin to check your access and the workspace's available features.

Vendor-only members use Vendor Home and their personal document and payment surfaces instead of the cross-project operator pages.
