App Overview

The Saturation Wallet iOS app provides mobile access to your Saturation expense cards and transactions. Designed for on-the-go production teams, the app focuses on essential card management and receipt tracking functionality.

Getting Started

App Download and Setup

  1. Download "Saturation Wallet" from the iOS App Store

  2. Open the app and log in with your Saturation email address

  3. Use the same credentials as your web platform account

  4. Access granted based on your existing workspace permissions

Initial App Navigation

After logging in, you'll see:

  • Cards Tab: View all your expense cards

  • Transactions: Complete transaction history

  • Settings: Account and notification preferences

Card Management

Viewing Your Cards

The Cards tab displays all expense cards issued to you, organized by workspace:

  • Cards from multiple projects shown separately

  • Workspace organization for easy identification

  • Current spending amounts and limits

  • Card status (active, deactivated)

Card Details

Tap any card to view complete information:

  • Full card number and CVV code

  • Expiration date and security details

  • Current spending and remaining limits

  • Project assignment (if applicable)

  • Recent transaction history for that card

Adding Cards to Apple Wallet

Virtual cards can be added directly to Apple Wallet for contactless payments:

  1. Select your virtual card in the app

  2. Tap "Add to Apple Wallet" button

  3. Follow prompts to add card to Apple Pay

  4. Use with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode for payments

Note: Only virtual cards can be added to Apple Wallet. Physical cards must be added manually through the Wallet app.

Transaction Management

Transaction History

View complete transaction history across all your cards:

  • Real-time transaction updates

  • Merchant names and locations

  • Transaction amounts and dates

  • Payment methods used

  • Categorization status

Transaction Categorization

Assign transactions to budget categories directly from mobile:

  1. Select any uncategorized transaction

  2. Choose the appropriate project and budget line item

  3. Save categorization to update budgets automatically

  4. Categories sync with web platform immediately

Spending Limits and Tracking

Monitor your card usage with built-in limit tracking:

  • Daily, weekly, monthly spending limits displayed

  • Remaining balance calculations

  • Visual indicators for limit status

  • Real-time updates as transactions process

Receipt Management

Uploading Receipts

Capture and attach receipts to transactions using multiple methods:

Camera Scanning:

  1. Tap the camera icon on any transaction

  2. Point camera at receipt

  3. Auto-detection frames the receipt automatically

  4. Capture photo and confirm attachment

File Upload:

  1. Select transaction requiring receipt

  2. Choose "Upload Receipt" option

  3. Select from device photo library or files

  4. Attach to transaction

Supported File Types

Upload receipts in common formats:

  • PDF documents

  • HEIC (iOS camera format)

  • JPEG images

  • PNG images

  • Other standard image formats

  • Maximum file size: 5MB per upload

Receipt Organization

  • Receipts automatically attach to correct transactions

  • Preview uploaded receipts within the app

  • Edit or replace receipts as needed

  • All receipts sync with web platform for accounting

Troubleshooting Mobile App Issues

Login and Access Problems

Cannot Log In:

  • Verify you're using the same credentials as web platform

  • Check internet connection and app permissions

  • Ensure account has appropriate role access

  • Try logging out and back in to refresh session

Missing Cards:

  • Confirm cards are properly issued and activated

  • Check that you're invited to correct workspace/projects

  • Verify cards haven't been deactivated or cancelled

  • Refresh app by pulling down on cards list

Receipt Upload Issues

Camera Not Working:

  • Check camera permissions in iOS Settings

  • Ensure adequate lighting for receipt scanning

  • Try manual photo selection from library instead

  • Close and reopen app if camera freezes

File Size Too Large:

  • Compress images before uploading

  • Use JPEG format instead of PNG for smaller files

  • Take photos at lower resolution if needed

  • Maximum 5MB limit applies to all uploads

Upload Failures:

  • Check internet connection strength

  • Try uploading on Wi-Fi instead of cellular

  • Ensure sufficient device storage space

  • Retry upload after checking connection

Notification Problems

Not Receiving Alerts:

  • Verify notification permissions in iOS Settings

  • Check that notifications are enabled in app settings

  • Ensure "Do Not Disturb" isn't blocking alerts

  • Try toggling notifications off and back on

Too Many Notifications:

  • Customize notification settings within app

  • Disable receipt reminders if not needed

  • Adjust notification timing preferences

  • Turn off specific alert types as desired

Apple Wallet Integration Issues

Cannot Add Card:

  • Verify card is virtual (not physical)

  • Check that Apple Wallet is set up on device

  • Ensure device supports Apple Pay

  • Try removing and re-adding card to Wallet

Apple Pay Not Working:

  • Confirm card is active in Saturation

  • Check sufficient funds in account or allocation

  • Verify merchant accepts Apple Pay

  • Try using physical card number instead
