Understanding Your Saturation Pay Account

How banking works with Saturation Pay.

Saturation Pay is the operating account that powers your production — a real U.S. business bank account with routing and account numbers, project-level controls, cards, and bill pay, all managed inside Saturation.
This article covers:

  • How your account is structured (Saturation + Stripe + bank partner)

  • How to verify your account for auditors or vendors

  • How to pull statements and documentation

  • How debit and credit cards fit into the system

Confirming your account is real and insured

Saturation Pay is a fully functional U.S. business bank account. Anything your accountant, auditor, payroll provider, or vendor would expect from a traditional bank account is available here.

Account & routing numbers. You get real ACH- and wire-enabled routing and account numbers, visible directly in your Saturation Pay account. You can use these anywhere you'd use a traditional bank account.

FDIC insurance. Funds are FDIC-insured up to $250,000 through our underlying bank partner, Fifth Third Bank (Member FDIC).

How Saturation, Stripe, and Fifth Third work together.

  • Saturation → The platform you use (budgets, approvals, cards, reporting)

  • Stripe → The infrastructure layer powering payments and money movement

  • Fifth Third Bank → The chartered bank that holds your deposits and provides FDIC insurance

This is why you may see Fifth Third’s name on wires or official documentation — they are the legal holder of funds.
You do not log into Fifth Third or manage anything there. Your entire experience lives inside Saturation.

Verifications, bank letters, and audit support.

If a vendor, payroll provider, insurer, or auditor needs formal documentation, we can provide it.
This includes:

  • Verification of deposit (VOD)

  • Bank letters

  • Audit confirmation letters

  • Proof of funds

Just reach out to your account team or support — we’ll coordinate directly with the underlying bank and deliver what you need.

Pulling statements and transaction history

You can access a complete record of activity at any time:

  1. Go to the Transactions page

  2. Filter by date range and select your Saturation Pay account

  3. Export to CSV

The export includes:

  • Full transaction detail

  • Project and category tagging

  • Accounting-ready formatting

This gives you the same level of detail as a traditional bank statement — but already organized for production accounting.

Saturation Pay debit card

The debit card is designed for controlled production spend, not rewards.

  • Instant virtual and physical cards

  • Per-card spend limits and category restrictions

  • Project-level tracking on every transaction

  • Automatic receipt capture and matching

Funds are pulled directly from your Saturation Pay balance.
If you’re looking for cash back, that’s handled through the credit card program below.

Saturation production credit card (separate program)

The production credit card is a separate product that connects to your Saturation Pay account.
How it works:

  1. Open Saturation Pay

  2. Apply for the credit card

  3. Undergo separate underwriting

  4. Once approved, manage debit + credit together in one place

The credit card includes:

  • 3% cash back on production expenses

  • The same controls (limits, categories, project tagging) as debit cards

To apply, click on the "Credit" tab under "Banking" on the left nav of your workspace.

Why productions keep funds in Saturation Pay

Saturation Pay isn’t just a place to store money — it’s how productions control and track spend in real time.

  • Project-based allocations Funds can be assigned to a project and only be spent within that scope.

  • Hard spend controls Set limits at the project, department, card, or user level — spend stops automatically when limits are reached.

  • Real-time visibility Every transaction is tracked against its budget line as it happens — no waiting for month-end reconciliation.

  • One system of record Budgets, cards, bill pay, and approvals all reference the same data.

  • Faster close Because transactions are already coded and matched, close happens in days instead of weeks.

If you want to talk through how to structure funds across projects or align with your broader financial workflows, your account team is happy to help.
