Transactions are added to your workspace/project in two ways:
Connect an external bank account or credit card via Plaid to automatically import your transactions.
If you're using Saturation Pay, any transactions made via the spend cards will automatically be added.
Once transactions have been added to your account, you can access them via the Transactions icon on the left nav.
Note: For workspace owners, admins, and editors, the workspace Transactions table will show the transactions across all projects. For project admins and editors, the project Transactions table will show only the transactions for that project.
Viewing Transaction Details
To view the details of a transaction, click on the transaction name. This will show the Transaction Detail pane with information about the transaction and enable you to upload receipts and add notes.
Actualizing a Transaction against Your Budget
To track a transaction against your budget, you need to first assign it a project and category (e.g., an account or line item in your budget). If you're working at the workspace level, you can assign the transaction to a project and category by typing in the name in the respective fields or selecting it from the drop down menu. If you're working at the project level, the transaction is already assigned to the project so you just need to assign it a category. Once the transaction has been assigned, click the purple "Actualize" button to actualize it.
Once the transaction has been actualized, the spend will show up in the Actual column in your budget against the assigned category. You'll see a corresponding actual entry on the Actuals table inside the project for this transaction.
Note: If a transaction is assigned a project and category but not actualized, the spend amounts will not be counted against the budget. Transactions must be actualized to be counted.
Bulk Editing Transactions
If you're at the workspace level, you can bulk edit transactions by clicking the checkboxes on the left side of each transaction row to select them. You can select as many transactions as needed (selected transactions will be highlighted with a checkmark). Once you've selected your transactions, click the "Bulk edit X transactions" button that appears at the top of the page.
A bulk edit modal will open where you can assign the project and category for the transactions. Click the "Apply to transactions" button to apply the changes to your transactions.
π‘ Tip: If you need to bulk edit many similar transactions, use the filter options to narrow down your view first and then select the transactions.
If you're working at the project level, you can bulk edit transactions by following the same steps to select the transactions and then click the purple pencil icon near the top of the transactions table to edit.
