Bulk edit transactions (Saturation 3.0)

Bulk editing lets you apply the same assignment or review value to several transactions at once. Use it when you need to categorize a group of transactions, move them to a project, or mark them actualized.

Select transactions

  1. Open Transactions from the workspace navigation, or open Transactions inside a project.

  2. Use filters or search to narrow the list.

  3. Select the checkbox on each transaction you want to change.

  4. Select “Edit - N transactions” above the table. The number reflects your selection.

Choose the changes

The bulk edit dialog can update these fields:

  • Project. Available from the workspace Transactions page. Choose this before choosing an account.

  • Account. Assigns the budget line for the transaction.

  • Contact.

  • Status.

  • Actualized or Not actualized.

  • Tags. Choosing a tag set replaces the selected transactions' existing tags.

Leave a field unchanged when the current values should stay as they are. Use the clear option when you need to remove an existing project, account, or contact assignment.

Apply the changes

  1. Review the selected fields in the dialog.

  2. Select Apply.

  3. Review the result if Saturation reports skipped updates.

Locked fields are left unchanged. The result lists transactions whose selected fields could not be updated and explains that those fields were locked.

Workspace and project transactions

On the workspace page, selecting a project determines which budget accounts are available for the bulk edit. On a project Transactions page, the project is fixed and you only choose the account within that project.

Bulk editing is permission-controlled. If you can view transactions but cannot edit them, the edit action is unavailable or the affected fields are read-only.
